TikTok's Privacy and Data Protection Office seeks a senior red team engineer to drive privacy-focused assessments across TikTok's products and platforms. You will model privacy abuse scenarios, conduct deep security testing, and demonstrate end-to-end impact on data flows.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on offensive penetration testing or red teaming.
Depth in application security and mobile security testing.
Experience leading complex assessments end-to-end as an individual contributor.
Knowledge of privacy concepts and regulations mapping to security testing.
Experience with cloud systems.

Responsibilities

Threat model privacy concepts into adversarial scenarios and design red team engagements.
Conduct deep manual security assessments and tests of internal/external systems to bypass privacy expectations.
Identify exploitable data lifecycle issues and demonstrate end-to-end impact.
Research emerging privacy threats and develop new testing methodologies.
Partner with engineering/product teams to embed privacy controls in the SDLC.
Analyze new threats and develop mitigations to protect user data.
Help shape privacy red teaming processes and documentation at TikTok.
Build tooling and frameworks to scale privacy-focused assessments.
