Job summary

Dell Technologies in Singapore seeks a Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer to lead end-to-end architectures for next-generation displays and docking solutions. You will prototype, validate patterns, and ensure non-functional requirements are met at scale.

You will guide technology strategy, collaborate with SoC partners, and drive architectural trade-offs with product planning and engineering teams to deliver market-ready innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in firmware, hardware, or embedded systems development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system architecture definition and technical leadership.
• Knowledge of USB, USB Power Delivery (PD), DisplayPort, and related industry standards.
• Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and external technology partners.
• Bachelor's degree
• INCOSE CSEP or Certified Functional Safety Engineer (IEC 61508)

Responsibilities

• Lead the technology strategy and system architecture development for next-generation displays and docking solutions.
• Drive innovation by partnering with product planning teams, technology suppliers, and engineering organizations to transform emerging technologies into market-ready products.
• Partner with Product Planning teams to identify and define key innovation areas for future display and docking products.
• Align technology roadmaps and strategies with key SoC and ecosystem partners.
• Define system architectures and develop Architecture Requirements Documents (ARDs) for next-generation displays and docking solutions.
• Lead technical evaluations, design reviews, proofs-of-concept (POCs), and performance benchmarking activities.
• Drive technology feasibility studies and architectural trade off analyses.
• Collaborate with development engineering teams to ensure new technologies and concepts meet defined KPIs before transition into product development.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on system-level design decisions.

Essential Requirements

• Experience with display, docking, or connectivity products.
• Familiarity with SoC ecosystems and semiconductor partner engagement.
• Understanding of high-speed interconnect and cable design, including Thunderbolt, USB4, and signal integrity considerations, is highly desirable.
