Job summary

NETS is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead application development and act as senior technical authority for the UPOS & DA portfolio. You will define target architecture, engineering strategy, and modernization roadmaps for mission‑critical digital payment platforms and Java backends.

You will guide a dynamic team to design and deliver secure, scalable, low‑latency payment solutions while aligning with business goals, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Must have 10+ years of progressive technology experience with leadership roles.
Deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, APIs, and distributed systems.
Experience with PCI-DSS and cybersecurity requirements.
Strong executive communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

Define and govern target application architecture and modernization roadmap.
Provide technical leadership across multiple development tracks and stakeholders.
Lead design authority for payment authorization, switching, and gateway services.
Ensure secure, scalable, high‑performing payment solutions and operational resilience.
