Job summary

EMA in Singapore seeks a professional to lead medium- to long-term planning and development of the electricity transmission network to support industry growth while safeguarding grid reliability and system resilience.

The role involves coordinating transmission network development studies, evaluating imports interconnection proposals, and guiding asset renewal strategies, with close collaboration across agencies and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and technical robustness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electrical Engineering preferably with specialisation in Power Engineering.
• Preferably knowledge of electricity network planning and asset management.
• Knowledge of smart grid technologies and its integration with network would be an advantage.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate technical concepts in clear and simple terms to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to long-term electricity network development plans to support growth of key industry sectors and review Transmission Network Ten Year Development Plans for adequacy and reliability.
• Manage grid interconnections of electricity imports and review importers' interconnection proposals to ensure compliance to Transmission Code.
• Oversee the implementation of asset renewal policies and review asset renewal plans to ensure reliability of Singapore's electricity transmission and distribution network.
