Job summary

MRL Consulting Group | Global Niche Technology Recruitment is seeking a Principal Computer Vision Scientist to drive research, development, and deployment of advanced CV and AI/ML solutions. You will shape technical vision, while remaining hands‑on with model development, experimentation, and deployment.

The role requires 7+ years of CV/ML experience, deep knowledge of CNNs/Transformers, and proven production deployment expertise.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, ML, AI, Robotics, applied math, EE, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on industry experience in CV/ML/DL.
• Strong expertise in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow).
• Experience with OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn and Python ecosystem.
• Knowledge of CNNs, Vision Transformers, YOLO, Mask R‑CNN, CLIP, SAM.
• Proven experience deploying AI/ML models into production.
• Experience with REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• Excellent communication and Agile development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of CV and ML solutions.
• Define model architectures, experimentation strategies, and production readiness standards.
• Develop, train, fine‑tune, and optimise models for detection, classification, segmentation, OCR, and more.
• Own end‑to‑end ML lifecycle from data to deployment and monitoring.
• Build prototypes and POCs to validate new technologies and product ideas.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver production‑ready AI capabilities.
