Job summary

Maybank Securities, a leading brokerage and investment bank, seeks an experienced Prime Services Trader to provide trading access across equity, futures, options and FX for regional and global clients.

You will execute orders with precision, monitor client activity, and engage with external partners to deliver best execution and compliant operations. Strong market insight and relationship management are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of Prime Services, Dealing or Trading experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or VBA is a plus for desk-tool development.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to interface with internal and external operation groups.
• Results-oriented with ownership and accountability.
• Ability to react quickly to intra-day deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide trading access to local, regional and global equity markets for a broad client base.
• Execute orders with high attention to detail, ensuring compliance.
• Understand market drivers and suggest best execution strategies.
• Engage with external execution partners, custodians, and stock lending desks.
• Monitor and manage client orders to ensure timely trade executions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and portfolios with market intelligence.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to meet client requirements.
• Work with vendors and counterparts to implement changes to services offering.
