Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Vice President in the Precious Metals trading team to provide bespoke derivatives to corporate and investor clients globally.

You will quote, risk manage OTC spot, forwards, swaps, and options, and engage in physical business in the gold, silver, platinum, and palladium markets. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong client focus, collaborating with technology and Quantitative Research groups to enhance electronic capabilities and manage trades

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience in Precious Metals / FX or other macro derivatives products.
• Ability to assess and understand risk around trading positions and market events.
• Comfort with or interest in options risk management.
• Thrive under competitive pressures and maintain client focus.
• Maturity to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and open environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong, disciplined approach to our controls environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and operate at senior level if required.

Responsibilities

• Making markets in both vanilla and exotic options on precious metals and crosses.
• Strategic risk management of client flows and orders.
• A strong client focus and excellent relationship management.
• Working in close collaboration with the bullion technology and Quantitative Research groups to grow electronic capabilities.
• Book trades as needed on behalf of the business.
