Job summary

OakTree Consulting is seeking a seasoned electrical/power engineer with 5–7 years of experience to lead product development and reliability enhancements for diesel generation, hybrid power, and energy storage solutions in Singapore.

You will oversee technical validation, mentor engineering teams, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to drive innovative solutions across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering.
5–7 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of power generation, energy storage, and power distribution systems.
Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
Familiarity with Singapore safety and regulatory standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Monitor product performance and recommend improvements for reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Conduct technical reviews, testing, and validation for new designs.
Lead feasibility studies for potential new product lines.
Mentor engineers and technicians and foster continuous learning.
Ensure all engineering work complies with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Keep up with advances in diesel generation, hybrid power, and BESS; pilot promising technologies.
Evaluate new products and components with suppliers and partners.
Support sales and business development teams with technical expertise during client discussions.
Deliver internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and certification bodies.
