Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to define power supply architectures for data centre servers and rack systems. You will design power trees, budget power, and select high-performance PS solutions for 12–400V DC input to high-current low voltages.

You will simulate and test designs, ensure EMI/EMC and thermal performance, and collaborate with firmware, mechanical and thermal teams to meet strict safety and Open Compute standards.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in power electronics design and hardware systems for data centres or communications infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of power topologies (buck, boost) and WBG like GaN and SiC.
• Experience with CAD tools (Cadence Allegro, Siemens PADS or Altium Designer).
• Familiar with ISO9001 and product development life cycle.
• NPI project execution experience desirable and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define power supply architectures for data centre servers and rack-level systems.
• Design system power trees and perform power budgeting calculations.
• Select power supply solutions for high DC input voltage conversion to high current low voltages.
• Analyze efficiency, thermal dissipation and loss budgets for switching devices and components.
• Create schematics and guide PCB layouts to minimize EMI/EMC and ensure power integrity.
• Perform simulations for power conversion, thermal management and magnetic design.
• Board bring-up, characterize designs and validate power consumption.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and thermal teams to meet constraints and Open Compute Project standards.
• Support production issues and ensure robust, cost-effective designs.
