Job summary

Maybank is seeking a vigilant post-trade operations professional to manage end-to-end processes across equities, fixed income, and structured products within Private Banking and Wealth Management. You will handle trade settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, and issue resolution while collaborating with custodians and internal teams.

The role emphasizes process improvements, UAT, and the use of technology and data analytics to boost efficiency and controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or Accountancy.
• Hands-on knowledge of Private Banking securities and settlement/transaction processing.
• Meticulous with strong numerical and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Process a broad range of securities transactions across equities, bonds, structured notes, unit trusts, mutual funds, listed options, transfers and equity accumulator/decumulator products.
• Handle structured notes and accumulator/decumulator fixes and corporate actions accurately within service levels.
• Investigate reconciliation breaks, resolve unidentified items, and coordinate with relevant parties for timely closure.
• Monitor settlements, follow up with custodians and counterparties on fails or unmatched trades and long-outstanding items.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures as processes change.
• Participate in projects and UAT; complete test cases on time and report defects clearly.
• Prepare operational statistics and reports accurately and on schedule.
• Support audit reviews and process-improvement initiatives to strengthen productivity and controls.
• Demonstrate keen interest in leveraging technology, automation, data analytics, or AI to improve efficiency and customer experience.
