Job summary

The Ministry of Trade and Industry seeks a dynamic policy professional to join the Foreign Manpower team to shape Singapore's foreign workforce and talent policies.

You will work with government agencies, industry associations, and international partners to design strategies and pilot talent exchange initiatives.

The role emphasizes data analysis, policy reviews, and clear public communications to keep Singapore open to global talent.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to strengthen Singapore’s foreign workforce, including designing competitive talent schemes and piloting modalities to promote talent exchange.
• Plan foreign workforce and population strategies to support Singapore's long-term economic and demographic objectives.
• Review foreign work pass and talent policies to ensure effectiveness in bringing in complementary talent.
• Analyse global and domestic labour market, workforce and productivity data to benchmark Singapore’s competitive position.
• Work closely with public sector economists and private sector stakeholders to assess the economic impact of talent development initiatives.
• Shape the narrative of our foreign and local workforce strategy in public communications.
