Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior PLC Engineer to design, develop and support industrial automation systems based on B&R platforms. You will lead projects, write machine control software, integrate HMIs/SCADA, and mentor junior engineers across global sites.

Responsibilities include FAT/SAT, system integration with standard protocols, and providing technical leadership during commissioning. A strong background in B&R tools and IEC 61131-3 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of industrial automation experience.
• 5+ years with B&R or other PLC products.
• Proven experience in machine automation and building management system apps.
• Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, commission, and support automation systems based on B&R platforms.
• Lead automation projects and provide technical leadership to engineers or SIs.
• Develop machine control software, IO configurations, and safety functions.
• Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces using Metasys CIM/Pcvue.
• Perform FAT/SAT tests and support commissioning globally.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and establish coding standards.
• Troubleshoot control systems and provide remote/onsite support.
