Job summary

JOHNSON CONTROLS (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior PLC Engineer to lead automation projects, design and develop software on B&R platforms, and support system integration with Metasys CIM and SCADA. You will troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical leadership across teams.

You will design PLC software in Automation Studio, write machine control logic, configure B&R devices, and develop reusable libraries. Travel for commissioning and on-site support will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial automation engineering.
• 5+ years with B&R or equivalent PLC products.
• Strong machine automation and building management experience.
• Good problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects and travel internationally for commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC software using B&R Automation Studio.
• Create machine control logic, sequences and safety functions.
• Program B&R PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs and I/O systems.
• Develop reusable software libraries and standards.
• Integrate PLC with SCADA, EMS, and Manufacturing Intelligence.
• Lead FAT/SAT activities and support commissioning worldwide.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and establish coding standards.
• Troubleshoot control systems and provide remote/onsite support.
