Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / SRE to join its Global Compute Engineering team. This hands-on role designs, builds, and optimises compute platforms powering data-intensive workloads across Linux, Python, Cloud, Ansible, and Terraform.

You will drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives, automation frameworks, observability, and internal tooling to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity, while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud environments.
• SRE mindset focused on automation and reliability.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus).

We're partnering with a leading global, technology-driven firm to hire a Senior Platform Engineer / SRE to join its Global Compute Engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys building scalable, resilient, and highly automated platforms supporting complex, data-intensive environments across Linux, Python, Cloud, Ansible, and Terraform.

In this role, you'll design, build, and optimise the compute platforms that power high-performance workloads across a global infrastructure footprint. Working closely with software engineering teams, you'll drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives, automation frameworks, observability, and internal platform tooling to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
