Job summary

The Next Generation Programme Office (NGPO) Strategy branch is seeking platform engineers with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous learning. You will design, implement, and maintain either cloud-based or on-premises infrastructure and platform services for the Next Generation ANS, depending on deployment needs.

Qualifications

• Trained in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
• Platform engineering and infrastructure management experience in either cloud or on-premises environments.
• Strong knowledge of either cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns OR traditional infrastructure patterns and distributed systems design.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, identity management, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design & Maintain Mission-Critical Infrastructure across cloud or on-premises environments.
• Platform Management using cloud-native services (AWS/Azure) or on-premises virtualization and networking.
• Infrastructure as Code & automation for repeatable deployments.
• Container orchestration and platform services management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, possibly performing SRE functions.
• Monitoring, observability, security controls, and regulatory compliance for aviation systems.
• Data platform operations and analytics workloads as secondary responsibilities.
• Deployment & integration testing in production environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance and reliability.
• Documentation and knowledge sharing of infrastructure and procedures.
