Job summary

Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd (Eastern General Hospital) is seeking a physiotherapist to provide comprehensive rehabilitation across Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatrics. You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress with emphasis on patient safety and confidentiality.

You will participate in ward rounds and education activities, supervise junior staff, and contribute to care team learning.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor/Master/Doctoral Degree in Physiotherapy is preferred.
• Maintain registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Good communication, interpersonal and patient handling skills preferred.
• Ability to speak more than one language or dialect is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy services to patients in Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatrics.

• Plan and deliver individualized treatments with evidence-based practice.

• Oversee Therapy Assistants to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Job Description

• Provide physiotherapy services to patients for optimal recovery in areas including Musculoskeletal/ Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatric.
• Assess patients in a logical and sequential manner, generating and testinga hypothesis
• Analyse patients' problems directly related to the conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning
• Plan and deliver individualised treatment, reflecting current available scientific evidence, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of intervention
• Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, ensure accurate documentation and compliance to confidentiality requirements.
• Participate actively as a member of the care team via attending relevant ward/unit rounds, clinics, meetings, and in research and work improvement activities.
• Contribute to learning and growth through active participation in departmental clinical education and clinical training activities.
• Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff/students/junior staff/peers, as required.
• Oversee Therapy Assistants on performance dutiesto ensure safe and effective treatment.

Job Requirements

• Preferably Diploma/Bachelor/Masters/Doctoral Degree in Physiotherapy
• Attain and meet all requirements to maintain registration with Allied Health Professions Council
• Good communication, interpersonal and patient handling skills preferred
• Ability to speak more than 1 language or dialect preferred (to liaise with dialect speaking associates/patients)
