Job summary

SILITH TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled photonic device engineer to design and simulate integrated photonic components, including waveguides, modulators, detectors, and lasers.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable designs and validate performance through simulations and experiments. This role requires a Master’s or PhD in EE/Optics/Physics, strong scripting in Python/MATLAB, and experience with Lumerical or COMSOL, plus

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3 years of industry experience or PhD in EE/Optics/Physics.
• Proficiency in photonic simulation tools (Lumerical, COMSOL, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of photonic device principles (waveguides, modulators, detectors, lasers).
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and DFM.
• Background in silicon photonics, III-V, or hybrid integration is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate active/passive integrated photonic devices and circuits.
• Develop models and optimize efficiency, bandwidth, and loss.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure design manufacturability (DFM).
• Perform design verification and analyze performance with simulations and experiments.
• Support product development from concept to volume production.
• Document specifications and assist test/integration teams.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as assigned.
