Job summary

SINGAPORE NATIONAL EYE CENTRE PTE LTD is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care to patients in our pharmacy setting.

You will handle administrative tasks, receive stock, packing and labeling, and ensure accurate charging to patients and retail customers, while contributing to training of new staff with emphasis on teamwork and patient relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum a GCE ‘O’ Level.
• Preferably with at least 1 year’s relevant working experience in the related field.
• Pleasant and cheerful disposition
• Good patient relation and communication skills
• Service oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work well independently and in team

Responsibilities

• Process and distribute drugs including typing, packing and labeling.
• Receive, unpack and check deliveries for stock accuracy.
• Ensure correct charging of medications to patients and retail customers.
• Close daily accounts and submit to pharmacist-in-charge.
• Assist in training new pharmacy assistants and staff.

Job description

You will be part of the Pharmacy team to assist the pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care which is safe and efficacious to patients.

Job duties

• Performs in the administrative function, processing and distribution of drugs to patients and other departments which includes typing, packing and labelling
• Receive, unpack and check deliveries to ensure the correct stocks are being received and accounted for
• Ensures correct charging of medications to patients and retail customer.
• Ensures that the daily closing of accounts is correct and duly submitted to pharmacist-in-charge
• Involves in activities for the training of new pharmacy assistants and staff

Job requirements
