Qualifications

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably with 2 years’ experience in a healthcare environment.
• Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate OT scheduling and capacity management to ensure optimal utilisation of available operating theatre resources.
• Collaborate with OT stakeholders to effectively manage and optimise Open Access resources.
• Manage and respond to surgery scheduling enquiries and OT slot requests from surgeons and clinical departments.
• Prepare routine reports and provide regular updates on OT utilisation, capacity, and operational status.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OT scheduling processes and operational efficiency.

About the role

As a Senior / Patient Service Associate Executive (PSAE) in the OT Management Unit, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient utilisation of Singapore General Hospital's Operating Theatre (OT) resources. You will closely monitor upcoming OT capacity, coordinate surgery scheduling requests from surgeons and clinical departments, and facilitate timely allocation of OT slots while balancing operational priorities. The role requires strong coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to optimise OT utilisation and minimise surgery overruns.
