Job summary

The Singapore Cheshire Home is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead and deliver comprehensive OT services for adults with disabilities in our home and day activity centre. You will work with the MDT, promote independence, and oversee clinical practice, care planning, and equipment management.

Applicants should have a recognised OT degree, AHPC registration, and at least five years of relevant clinical experience, with preference for adult disability and rehab settings.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC); eligible to practice in Singapore.
• At least five years of relevant clinical experience.
• Experience in adult disability, rehabilitation, community care, nursing home or social services preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience supervising/mentoring therapy staff is an advantage.
• SAOT membership is advantageous; ICE certification from SIT & AHPC Supervisory certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessment, intervention, review and evaluation for residents and DAC clients.
• Assess functional abilities related to ADLs, cognition, sensory processing, psychosocial functioning and environmental needs.
• Formulate care plans and treatment goals in collaboration with beneficiaries and MDT.
• Develop and monitor OT programmes to promote and maintain functional abilities and participation.
• Coordinate assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
• Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and staff development within OT.
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, documentation, and service development.
