Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a practicing Occupational Therapist with complex disability caseload.
• Postgraduate training in advanced assessment tools and interventions (e.g., sensory integration, CBT, assistive device training).
• Registration as an Occupational Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Act is required.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams across health, social services and education sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities to supervise junior therapists and students.
• Proven ability to advocate for clients and navigate complex care pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments to evaluate OT needs in clients with complex disabilities.
• Set person-centred goals in collaboration with clients, families, caregivers and the MDT.
• Design and implement evidence-based care plans to address diverse needs.
• Maintain and monitor client records in line with policies and standards.
• Manage inventories of equipment, materials and supplies for service delivery.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, including equipment storage and maintenance.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior therapists and students during placements.
• Mentor staff to enhance professional skills and growth; participate in peer audits.
• Lead case discussions and support team decision-making; advocate for clients’ access to services.
