Job summary

Lumilens seeks an Optical Manufacturing Test Engineer to validate and ensure the quality of photonic components and systems. You will blend hands-on production testing with hardware test development for NPI and volume manufacturing, collaborating with design, hardware, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Industrial Engineering or Physics with related field.
• At least 12 years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing or automated test systems.
• Experience with 400G/800G/1.6T transceiver module tests preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Hands-on with optical test equipment and protocols.
• Familiarity with SPC, GR&R, tester correlation, and report generation.
• Ability to script automation (Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic).
• Excellent English communication; able to mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing test processes and changes under QMS.
• Develop, qualify, and release testers for production.
• Analyze test results against specifications and drive quality.
• Improve test yield, cycle time, throughput; reduce scrap.
• Collaborate for NPI ramp and manufacturing scaling.
• Train and guide operators and CM partners.
• Define data analysis solutions for test data at scale.
• Maintain thorough test records and generate reports.
