Job summary

Lumilens Inc. in Singapore seeks an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer to lead manufacturing process development for photonic products from prototype to volume production. You will define process parameters, qualifications, and transfer processes to internal factories or contract manufacturers.

You will plan DOE, characterize processes, optimize yield, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers. 5+ years in optical alignment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Photonics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years with optical active alignment for photonic devices.
• Hands-on experience in optical alignment for transceivers or related NPIs.
• Experience with active alignment equipment development, setup, qualification, and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process development for new photonic products through NPI and volume production.
• Develop and optimize optical assembly processes including active/passive alignment and epoxy curing.
• Define critical parameters, QC criteria, process windows, and specs.
• Plan DOE, process characterization, tolerance studies, and optimization.
• Evaluate process capability and manufacturing performance using Cp/Cpk and GR&R.
• Support prototype through production ramp and transfer to factories or suppliers.
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process docs, SOPs, PFMEA, and control plans.
