Job summary

Lumilens is seeking an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer in Singapore to drive optical alignment in transceiver production. You will operate and optimize alignment equipment, develop algorithms, and lead qualification activities to ensure high yield and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in optical alignment, familiarity with AA equipment, and hands-on experience with alignment fixtures, stages, power meters, and laser sources. Join a world-class team pushing photonics forward.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices.
• Familiarity with active alignment processes and equipment for optics such as FAU, lens, isolator, PIC chip, etc.
• Experience with AA equipment buyoff and qualification.
• Familiar with the key technologies such as stages, controllers, power meters, MPO connectors, laser sources, algorithms, as well as mechanical parts.
• Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods.
• Experience with equipment control.
• Experience in fixture design for alignment.
• Proficiency in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, optics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production.
• Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment, including equipment control and qualification.
• Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms.
• Perform equipment buyoff and equipment qualification activities.
• Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes.
• Design and refine fixtures to improve alignment processes.
• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure high yield and quality in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment control, alignment processes, and fixtures.
• Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement.
