The role requires sourcing and editing op-eds from experts, refining complex arguments, managing a network of thought leaders, and using analytics to guide editorial strategy across digital platforms. Strong editing, writing, and CMS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in journalism, policy analysis, or related field with record of writing high-quality commentary or leading coverage.
• Broad knowledge across Singaporean affairs, Asian geopolitics, or global macroeconomics.
• Excellent diplomacy and communication to engage with high-profile contributors, government agencies, and the public.
• Outstanding command of English, with strong structure, tone, clarity, and grammar.
• Hands-on experience with CMS, digital analytics platforms, and social publishing tools.

Responsibilities

• Source, commission, and edit high-quality op-eds and commentary from external contributors.
• Refine complex policy, geopolitical, and socio-economic arguments into clear, neutral prose.
• Build and nurture a diverse network of thought leaders across Asia and globally.
• Use analytics to evaluate story performance and guide editorial strategy.
• Package content for digital platforms with optimized headlines and visuals.
• Review daily letter submissions for print and digital publication.
• Verify claims to ensure compliance with Singapore's legal standards.
• Coordinate with organisations and agencies for timely right-of-reply responses.
