Job summary

Liberty Specialty Markets Singapore Pte Limited is seeking a Senior Risk Specialist to join the Risk Management team in Singapore. You will deliver hands-on support for the risk management framework with a focus on operational risk within a general insurance context.

The role requires the ability to work autonomously on workstreams, contribute to enterprise risk, regulatory compliance with MAS, and collaborate with business units to monitor risk exposures and drive mitigation.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management within General (non-Life) Insurance or regulated financial institutions.
• Thorough understanding of enterprise and operational risk concepts, risk governance, audit principles, and control frameworks.
• Proven knowledge of MAS regulations and regulatory expectations.
• Experience in technology risk management or cyber risk oversight is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of risk identification and assessment workshops; maintain the operational risk register and risk assessment reports.
• Manage operational risk event reporting, loss databases, and ensure timely capture of incidents and near-misses.
• Perform root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and trend analysis with escalation as needed.
• Design and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and produce dashboards for trends and early warnings.
• Advise process owners on control remediation and practical action plans.
• Support ERM framework enhancements and ORSA documentation and reporting.
• Engage with risk audits and regulatory inspections with required documentation.
• Champion risk culture and governance communications across Liberty.
