Job summary

Banking Computer Services Pte Ltd, a NETS subsidiary, seeks an IT Infrastructure Principal Engineer to lead on-premises infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, and data centers. You will drive reliability, security, and performance for critical financial services systems such as FAST, IBG, CTS, and PayNow.

The role requires strong technical expertise, 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, and leadership in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 10 years of IT Infrastructure experience with hands-on hardware, network, storage, virtualization and data center operations.
Experience with IT security, ITIL processes, incident/change/problem management.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of hardware and system software for on-premises environments.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure systems supporting business operations.
Manage physical data centers, server rooms, racks, cabling, and environmental equipment.
Lead infrastructure troubleshooting and incident resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid response.
Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes, and capacity planning.
Implement and enforce security controls for on-premises systems in alignment with organizational policies.
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, inventory, and asset tracking.
Collaborate with application, security teams for seamless IT operations.
Provide technical guidance (Windows, Linux, Storage, Network), mentoring, and leadership to infrastructure support teams.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for on-premises infrastructure.
