Job summary

IHH HEALTHCARE SINGAPORE is seeking a Senior Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and operational direction within the unit. You will influence patient care standards, develop nursing talent, and drive improvements across clinical practice and service delivery.

This role focuses on leading nursing teams, ensuring high-quality care, and delivering staffing plans aligned with patient acuity and census in a dynamic private healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing is required.
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) is required.
• Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative or Perianaesthesia Nursing preferred.
• Experience in nursing leadership or management roles is required.
• Strong clinical leadership and decision‑making skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and direction to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Set unit goals and objectives with the clinical team.
• Lead staff induction, competency assessment, learning and development, and career progression planning.
• Monitor and improve quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
• Lead reviews of clinical occurrences and implement corrective actions.
• Manage staffing schedules and ensure appropriate skill mix based on patient needs.
• Monitor resources, budgets, and consumables to support unit operations.
• Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Promote patient safety, governance, and risk management.
• Recruit and retain nursing talent and apply systems thinking to address challenges.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As a Senior Nurse Manager, you will:

• Lead the recruitment, development, engagement, and retention of nursing talent.


• Apply systems-level thinking to address clinical and operational challenges.


• Undertake other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• MinimumBachelor Degree in Nursing.


• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).


• Preferably with a postgraduate qualification in Perioperative or Perianaesthesia Nursing.


• Relevant experience in a similar nursing leadership or management role.


• Strong clinical leadership, communication, people management, and decision‑making skills.
