Job summary

Evernet Systems is seeking a senior hands-on engineer based in Singapore to manage escalations across networks and servers for client environments. You will lead Sev 1 responses, remotely or on-site, and design multi-site firewall, VLAN, VPN and virtualization setups for small to mid-size businesses.

You will also drive standards, runbooks, and vulnerability response, while coaching junior engineers and coordinating with the Service Delivery Manager on incidents and projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• Experience in switching/routing, VLANs, VPNs, and network design
• Solid Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware)
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 at L2 level (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune)
• Security hardening, patch management, and vulnerability response
• Strong troubleshooting using logs, counters, and packet captures
• Ability to manage change control with backups and rollback plans
• Experience leading Sev1 responses and coordinating vendor cases

Responsibilities

• Escalations and major incidents management from L1/L2 to fix
• Lead technical response in Sev1, remotely or on-site
• Open and manage vendor TAC cases until closure
• Identify root causes and implement preventive actions
• Review and approve non-standard network/server changes with rollback plans
• Design network and server setups for small/mid-size businesses
• Review MS 365 tenant-wide changes when requested
• Write and maintain runbooks and baseline configurations
• Coordinate security advisories and patch management with clients
• Deliver small to mid-size infrastructure projects and assist with larger ones
• Coach and mentor L1/L2 engineers on network/server issues
