Job summary

EXCELTECH COMPUTERS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Network SME specializing in Cisco Routing & Switching and Data Centre to lead complex infrastructure initiatives.

You will drive end-to-end tech refreshes, design scalable fabrics (VXLAN/EVPN), manage migration windows, document changes, and mentor junior engineers, with after-hours cutovers as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on enterprise and data centre networking experience.
• Expertise with Cisco routers (ISR/ASR) and switches (Catalyst 9000, Nexus 5K/7K/9K).
• Strong knowledge of routing & switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, VLANs, STP, vPC, QoS, multicast.
• Experience in data centre network design including spine-leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, ACI or NX-OS fabrics, redundancy and DR design.
• Hands-on configuration, IOS/NX-OS upgrades, troubleshooting and L3 escalation; create HLD/LLD, MOPs, rollback plans and ITIL-compliant change documentation.
• Certifications: CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center); able to coordinate with vendors and run change windows.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology refresh projects end to end: assess existing setup, design and size replacement hardware, plan migration and cutover, and decommission legacy devices with minimal downtime.
• Drive high-availability and DR design in data centre networks, ensuring seamless service continuity.
• Provide after-hours cutovers and L3 escalation support when required, with clear change documentation.

Work location: Harbourfront (bank)

1. 10+ years of hands-on enterprise and data centre networking, with deep expertise in Cisco routers (ISR/ASR) and switches (Catalyst 9000, Nexus 5K/7K/9K).

2. Lead technology refresh projects end to end: assess the existing setup, design and size the replacement hardware, plan migration and cutover, and decommission legacy devices with minimal downtime.

3. Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, VLANs, STP, vPC, port-channels, QoS and multicast.

4. Experience in data centre network design, including spine-leaf architecture, VXLAN/EVPN, ACI or NX-OS fabrics, and redundancy, high availability and DR design.

5. Hands-on configuration, IOS/NX-OS upgrades, troubleshooting and L3 escalation support, plus HLD/LLD, MOPs, rollback plans and change documentation under ITIL.

6. Preferred certifications: CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center). Able to work with vendors and run change windows, including after-hours cutovers.
