Job summary

hi5 elite pte. ltd. is seeking a Network Security Engineer to manage and secure critical network infrastructure in Singapore. You will troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching while supporting devices from leading vendors and monitoring security alerts.

Strong knowledge of NPM and SIEM, plus familiarity with WAF violations, HTTP status codes, and best practices, is required. Certifications like CCNA/CCNP are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, routing and switching).
• Fundamental application security knowledge incl. HTTP status interpretation and WAF violations; remediation is a plus.
• Experience with security devices from Palo Alto, Check Point, Trend Micro, Fortinet and F5.
• Familiar with Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Understanding of network security best practices and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills; willingness to learn.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills.
• CCNA/CCNP or product certifications are a plus.

Job Requirements

a) Possess knowledge on networking protocols and technologies like TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching.

b) Possess fundamental application security knowledge like interpretation of HTTP response status codes and WAF violations. Higher proficiency in application security knowledge to advice on remediation measures is an added advantage, but not mandatory.

c) Be proficient with network equipment from vendors like Palo Alto, Check Point, Trend Micro, Fortinet and F5.

d) Experience in solutions that supports the primaryjobtasks, like Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

e) Understanding of network security best practices and tools.

f) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Willingness to learn.

g) Fundamental skills on Microsoft Office products like Word and Excel.

h) Additional certifications like CCNA, CCNP or product (with reference to products listed above) certifications are a plus.
