Job summary

SysNet System and Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a Network Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure in Singapore. You will manage IP addressing, communicate network requirements for host connectivity, and install and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs/controllers, and servers.

The role requires hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortigate, Palo Alto, Check Point), VPN configurations, WAN/LAN interfaces,

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency with Windows applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, FTP, TFTP, etc.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 technologies including VLANs and HSRP.
• Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto and Check Point) and F5 Load Balancer.
• Experience with CISCO, Juniper and Alcatel switches.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage core firewalls (Fortigate, PaloAlto, Checkpoint) and IDS/IPS.
• Configure site-to-site VPNs on FortiGate firewalls and manage HA redundancy.
• Set up WAN/LAN interfaces, NAT policies, and firewall rules for secure connectivity.
• Implement static and dynamic routing within firewalls.
• Utilize FortiGate’s application control to filter unwanted applications.
• Configure VIPs and port forwarding for external access.
• Configure and maintain routers and switches (CISCO, Alcatel) for optimal performance.
• Administer and support campus-wide network infrastructure for continuous connectivity.
• Perform firmware/OS upgrades on network devices for security and feature enhancements.
• Optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, and analyze traffic patterns.
• Enforce firewall rules and security settings to protect against cyber threats.
• Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches for efficient traffic management.
• Ensure structured cabling and networking solutions using CISCO, Juniper, and Alcatel equipment.
