Job summary

QUANTUM INFOTECH SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks a skilled network engineer to implement and maintain Cisco routers/switches, NAC systems, and wireless networks at client sites. You will work with Cisco IOS, ISE, ClearPass, and firewalls, delivering L2 troubleshooting and 24x7 on-site or remote support as needed.

The role requires CCNP certification, strong OSI/TCPIP knowledge, and experience with monitoring tools and vendor coordination for maintenance and security patches at customer premises.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge in implementation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS.
• Experience with NAC implementations and operations support.
• Experience with Aruba Clear Pass and Cisco ISE.
• Experience with wireless networks, access points and controllers.
• Solid understanding of the OSI/TCP/IP model.
• Hands-on Level-2 troubleshooting and support.
• CCNP certification is required.
• Experience with monitoring, diagnostic tools and packet tracing.
• Familiarity with firewall products (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Check Point).
• Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass and Cisco ISE, Cisco wireless controllers.
• Familiarity with F5 load balancers.

Responsibilities

• Work at customer premises with strict workplace security.
• Perform problem resolution, escalation and closure related to routing and switching.
• Carry out configuration change activities.
• Update Service Desk with incident status and ticketing procedures.
• Operate day-to-day Network infra at client sites including performance and bandwidth monitoring.
• Coordinate testing and preventive maintenance with vendors per schedule.
• Perform OS upgrades and patching as required.
• Provide 24x7 standby/onsite support for critical incidents as needed.
• Deliver proactive incident reports within 24 hours for network issues.
• Escalate to vendor support and drive timely resolution.
• Provide multi-vendor support across models and devices.
• Maintain inventory of certificates and update renewals.
• Undertake security hardening and compliance activities per IBM policies.
• Maintain/Update client IBM inventory and compliance databases.
• Keep device software/firmware up to date and monitor vendor End of Life notices.
• Notify client of vulnerabilities and apply patches proactively.
