Job summary

Sopra Steria in Singapore is seeking an experienced Solutions/Network Architect to lead design and deployment of complex software-centric real-time systems. You will develop architecture diagrams, BOMs, interfaces, and integration documents while guiding security-aligned infrastructure and multi-team coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in similar positions, Cisco certifications, Unix/Linux proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCNA, etc).
• 5+ years experience in similar positions on complex software-centric real-time systems.
• Experience in leading small teams and design of infrastructure and network architectures.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux (Redhat preferred) operating systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco hardware and scripting (TCL/TK, Perl, Shell).
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

• Define equipment configurations for ATM solutions and coordinate with deployment teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop or update solution architecture drawings and diagrams, cost templates (devis), the List of Supply (LOS) / Bill of Materials (BOM), and interfaces at the start of the project.
• Develop or update network contributions to the Solution Specification and Design documentation, Network Acceptance Test Procedures, and other associated network integration documents.
• Define equipment configuration for the ATM solution(s) and coordinate with Hardware Deployment and Integration management for assembly of the ATM system and interface with Tools Engineering, Customer Service and Site Services departments where necessary to accomplish this task.
• Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration in the factory and on customer sites.
• Support configuration changes to system platforms in factory and customer sites.
• Proactively support Project Design Reviews.
• Provide customer training.
• Identify risks at solution architecture level and propose where possible alternate validated solutions.
• Provide system and networking expertise.
• Follow and contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain objectives, strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure that deliveries (including associated documentation and engineering artefacts) are on time (as per schedule and milestones) with the expected level of compliance.
• Contribute to key milestones and provide input into triage and change boards.
• Track team progression against the agreed plan, provide task estimation and forecasting as input into the weekly status dashboard.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation solutions.
• Relay key communications to team through daily/weekly team meetings.

Team Responsibilities

• Is main point of contact for the team on functional or technical topics, or knows who to contact.
• Performs allocation and prioritisation of tasks for the team.
• Responsible for the quality of the teams outputs, including compliance to the configuration management process.

Qualifications

• Cisco formal certifications (CCNP, CCNA etc).

Essential Experience

• 5+ years experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software-centric real-time systems.
• Experience in leading small teams.
• Demonstrated experience in the design of infrastructure and network architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in the design of network architectures inline with security standards and policies.
• Sound level of knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux (Redhat distribution preferred) Operating System.
• Familiarity with a wide range of Computer and Networking hardware (preferably Cisco).
• Scripting (TCL/TK, Perl, & Shell).
• Able to work on multiple activities concurrently and effectively self-manage (autonomy).
• Experience with collective decisions and conflict resolutions.
• Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives.

Desirable

• Work experience in a mission-critical, near real-time environment preferably ATC-related.
• Experience in large and distributed networked computer system.
• Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• French Literacy.

Special Requirements

• Be eligible for Security Clearance from the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (CAT2).
