Qualifications

• NDT Level 2 certification or equivalent in non-destructive testing methodologies
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in non-destructive testing within aerospace manufacturing or engineering
• Proficiency in ultrasonic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and radiographic testing

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive testing procedures including ultrasonic, eddy current, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and radiographic testing on aerospace engine components and assemblies
• Prepare test samples and equipment, ensuring all materials meet aerospace industry specifications and standards
• Interpret and analyse testing results, documenting findings in detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive testing records
• Identify defects, discontinuities and material anomalies, assessing their significance in relation to engineering specifications and industry regulations
• Perform calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on testing procedures and quality assurance practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot component failures and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations throughout all testing operations
• Maintain knowledge of aerospace standards and relevant NDT certifications
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and component quality
