Job summary

GE Aerospace Singapore is seeking a qualified NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive testing and related duties in accordance with approved instructions and calibration requirements. You will interpret operation sheets, prepare parts, and operate XR, UT, and other NDT lines to accept or reject parts.

The ideal candidate has prior NDT experience, whether 5 years in Quality Inspection or 2 years in NDT, or a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace Engineering, with CAAS NDT certification

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 5 years’ experience in Quality Inspection; or 2 years’ NDT experience; or Diploma holders in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace Engineering; CAAS Approval in NDT certification preferred.
• Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, NDT and related evaluations for acceptance or rejection of parts.
• Interpret inspection operation sheets and work instructions.
• Organize, sort and prepare the parts for NDT inspection; load/unload and operate XR, UT or FPI lines.
• Perform X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Fluorescent Penetrant, Eddy Current, and Magnetic Particle inspections per SOPs.
• Ensure equipment readiness; assist Engineers for inspection evaluations and reporting.
• Upkeep of process systems and testing equipment to comply with approved documents.
• Conduct audits in NDT area to meet regulatory requirements; perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping.
