Google LLC is seeking a mosquito biology professional to support the Debug team in developing and scaling interventions that reduce mosquito-borne disease. You will work with biologists, data scientists, and engineers to design field programs and operational playbooks for suppression and replacement strategies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global partners, rigorous bionomics assessment, and translating research into practical, scalable programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Entomology, Biological Sciences, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in insect biology.
• 5 years of experience planning and operational roll-out of public health programs or pest control projects.
• 5 years of experience pitching mosquito intervention programs to governments or stakeholders.
• Ability to travel internationally 25% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and pitch proposals to external stakeholders, design field programs, and implement them in new settings.
• Design detailed scientific and operational playbooks for new suppression and replacement programs.
• Characterize bionomics and performance of new mosquito strains using insectary and field-based bioassays.
• Test impact of new rearing and release methods/equipment on mosquito quality.
