Job summary

apeiron pte. ltd. seeks a Lead Engineer – Mechanical to steer mechanical engineering across full project lifecycles, from design through commissioning, for semiconductor automation equipment.

You will drive machine concepts, precision motion systems, and automation tooling while coordinating with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to meet performance, safety, and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including senior or lead roles.
• Strong background in semiconductor automation equipment design and related systems.
• Experience with precision motion, robotics, pneumatics, and vacuum components.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of semiconductor automation equipment.
• Develop machine concepts, mechanisms, tooling, fixtures, and layouts.
• Perform calculations, tolerance analysis, material selection, and verification.
• Prepare and review 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and technical docs.
• Design and integrate precision motion, robotics, pneumatics, and handling systems.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and machine performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, and process teams.
• Support assembly, testing, installation, qualification, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and fabrication partners for improvements.
• Ensure projects meet performance, quality, cost, safety, and delivery requirements.
