Job summary

Ethos Search Associates Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, development, integration and validation of mechanical systems for semiconductor and automation equipment.

You will work with System Engineers, internal teams, and vendors to ensure designs meet quality and reliability requirements. The role involves collaborating on specifications, performing design and analysis, and supporting field deployment and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor or automation products; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience in wafer fabrication, semiconductor equipment or medical equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools is mandatory.
• Experience with vision applications would be an advantage.
• Experience in thermal modeling, thermal calculations and thermal measurement techniques would be an advantage.
• Hands-on approach throughout the product development cycle.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical phases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with System Engineers to define mechanical system specifications.
• Perform component selection, tolerance analysis and motion-system design.
• Develop mechanical solutions for semiconductor and automation equipment.
• Support design evaluation, analysis and component qualification.
• Support integration, testing and validation of systems during development.
• Assist with equipment assembly, validation and troubleshooting.
• Provide installation and engineering support at customer sites when required.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during system integration.
