Wanco Manpower Pte Ltd, on behalf of our client, seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to support hyperscale modular data centre projects in Singapore West. You will lead mechanical design, 3D CAD modelling and coordination with engineering teams and vendors from design through fabrication and commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design, experience with modular equipment or engineered-to-order projects, and proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo or AutoCAD.
• Experience with modular equipment, piping layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of fabrication, manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience in modular equipment or engineered-to-order (ETO) projects is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop mechanical designs and 3D CAD models for modular equipment systems, piping arrangements and structural assemblies.
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations and design analyses to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, equipment layouts, technical specifications and BOMs.
• Review fabrication, assembly and installation drawings to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers and fabrication vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Support fabrication, testing, commissioning and FAT/SAT activities.
• Review vendor technical documents and support design improvements, cost optimisation and system integration.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of modular equipment systems for data centre projects. The role involves mechanical engineering calculations, 3D CAD modelling, equipment layouts, piping and structural design, as well as technical coordination with engineering teams and vendors from design through fabrication, testing and commissioning.

• Experience in equipment layouts, piping arrangements, structural assemblies and fabrication drawings.

• Good understanding of fabrication, manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Experience in modular equipment, packaged systems or engineered-to-order (ETO) projects is advantageous.

• Exposure to structural design, piping design or FEA is an advantage.

• Strong technical problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
