Job summary

HDR CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services team on Mission Critical projects. You will deliver design packages from concept to construction, perform detailed calculations, produce drawings and reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree and 6–12 years of experience, with BIM experience and knowledge of Singapore submissions. Local codes knowledge and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

The Role

HDR is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

• Delivering building services design packages from concept through to construction
• Undertaking detailed engineering calculations, design development and system selection
• Producing coordinated, compliant drawings, reports and specifications
• Ensuring designs meet Singapore codes, standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating discipline inputs and resolving design interfaces
• Supporting construction-phase activities including inspections and technical queries
• Contributing to technical improvement initiatives and best practice

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Typically, 6 - 12 years' relevant experience

Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure.

Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.

Commitment to continuous professional development, both for own development as well as that of team members

Mission Critical Design / Data Centre Design Experience is an added advantage.

Design experience with BIM is an added advantage.

Knowledge consulting experience and successful project management experience in the MEP sector is an added advantage.

Appreciates teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
