Job summary

GOERTEK SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design precision mechanical equipment modules and support prototype development.

You will produce detailed documentation, 3D models, 2D drawings and BOMs while performing FEA-based optimization for stiffness and accuracy. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years in precision equipment development, ideally in semiconductor or optics, and strong CAD/FEA proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in precision equipment development, preferably in semiconductor or optics.
• Proficiency in GD&T, CAD software and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of material properties and precision manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

You will design precision mechanical equipment modules, prepare detailed documentation, perform structural analysis, and support prototype development to drive innovation and quality in precision equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design precision mechanical equipment modules and components with detailed mechanical engineering principles
• Create and maintain manufacturing, assembly, and testing documentation including 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs to ensure accurate production
• Perform structural analysis using FEA tools to optimize stiffness, stability, and accuracy of components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support prototype build, integration, and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Develop and implement design standards and introduce new technologies to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in precision equipment development, preferably in semiconductor or optics industries
• Proficiency in GD&T, CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, NX), and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
• Strong understanding of material properties and precision manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset and collaborate effectively in teams
