Job summary

Sigma Design & Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced mechanical designer to take responsibility for the design and analysis of mechanical systems, automation, custom test equipment, tooling/jigs, and fixtures of diverse complexity and scope.

Key duties include designing systems, preparing documents to support manufacturing and system verification, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A strong background in machine design and problem solving is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing equipment and/or tooling.
• Ability to identify and solve complex system level issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal English communication.
• Ability to plan work with minimal direction.
• Experience designing machine plastic and metal parts.
• Strong analytical and empirical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, automation, custom test equipment.
• Develop design documentation (2D/3D CAD, test docs, manufacturing/assembly instructions, manuals).
