Job summary

Hylax Technology Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Singapore to lead end-to-end machine design from concept to commissioning. You will create assemblies, drawings, and BOMs while coordinating with electrical, automation and manufacturing teams to ensure successful integration.

The role requires hands-on development experience, strong 3D CAD skills, and a track record of driving design improvements and project leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering within a manufacturing or product development environment.
• 5+ years of relevant machine design experience are welcome
• Proven experience in complete machine design and development.
• Hands-on involvement from concept, fabrication and assembly through testing and commissioning
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD or equivalent 3D CAD software
• Strong mechanical design, manufacturing and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience leading technical projects and guiding junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end machine design and development, from concept to final commissioning.
• Design complete machines, mechanical assemblies and components using 3D CAD software.
• Develop technical drawings, specifications, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, design reviews and feasibility assessments.
• Coordinate fabrication, machining, assembly and integration of mechanical components.
• Work closely with electrical, automation and manufacturing teams to ensure successful machine integration.
• Support machine testing, troubleshooting, modifications and commissioning until the equipment is fully operational.
• Identify design improvements to enhance machine performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Lead technical discussions and provide hands-on guidance to junior mechanical engineers.
• Ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards and delivery timelines.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
