Job summary

CAI is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead all mechanical commissioning and testing activities for client projects in Singapore. You will coordinate with vendors, clients and contractors to ensure safety, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Extensive travel (about 75%) and onsite leadership are required. You will review design documents, prepare test plans, and support the development of commissioning deliverables and FAT/FWT tests, ensuring alignment with client specifications and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA (or equivalent) safety requirements.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical P&IDs.
• Knowledge of mission-critical design concepts.
• Candidates need to be either SGP citizen or PR holder.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical commissioning and testing activities for contracted work on client sites.
• Act as technical expert advising on feasibility, methods, and resource impacts.
• Coordinate information from vendors, clients, contractors, and site owners to lead decisions.
• Participate in meetings with client, consultants and contractors to define scope and deliverables.
• Ensure required certifications and documentation are provided for commissioning.
• Review and approve design documents meeting commissioning requirements.
• Support development of engineering deliverables and test scripts.
• Develop and approve FAT/FWT tests according to client needs.
• Ensure delivery quality aligns with client specifications and timelines.
• Track progress and communicate status to Project Manager and client.
