Job summary

ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a capable Senior Engineer to drive innovation in advanced materials for defence and public security. You will design, develop, test, and implement material systems while collaborating with R&D, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure performance and reliability.

In addition to technical execution, you will mentor junior engineers, contribute to project planning and execution, and stay abreast of emerging material science advances

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Solidworks).
• Ability to analyze material performance using engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
• Problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation.
• Experience with project management and quality systems is advantageous.
• Willing to travel for field testing and supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve advanced material systems for defence and public security.
• Perform detailed analysis and testing to ensure material properties meet specs.
• Engage in the full product development lifecycle from concept to production support.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and QA for seamless integration.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in material science for defence.
• Prepare technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continual improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve durability.
• Senior Engineers provide guidance and mentorship and assist in project planning.
