Job summary

ST ENGINEERING ADVANCED MATERIAL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an Material Engineer to drive innovation in advanced materials for defence and public security. You will design, test, and implement material systems, collaborating across R&D, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure performance and reliability.

You will perform detailed analyses, generate technical documentation, and stay updated on new material science advances to support project development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, especially Solidworks.
• Ability to analyse material performance and apply engineering principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.
• Willing to travel for field testing and supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve advanced material systems for defence/public security.
• Perform analyses and testing to ensure required properties.
• Engage in full product development lifecycle from concept to production support.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and QA for optimal performance.
• Stay updated on material science advances and apply to projects.
• Prepare technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve reliability.
• Senior roles: provide mentorship and assist in project planning.
