Job summary

HyTech, a leading management consulting firm with offices across Asia-Pacific, is seeking an experienced Market Intelligence Leader to build and manage a global intelligence program for fintech and financial services.

You will synthesize public and private data, deliver actionable insights to product, marketing, and strategy teams, and lead a multi-disciplinary group committed to high-quality research and executive reporting in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in business analytics, finance, economics, or related fields.
• 5+ years in market intelligence, competitive analysis, or management consulting; fintech preferred.
• Strong business acumen and ability to identify market opportunities and risks.
• Excellent written and executive reporting skills; communicate clearly with leadership.
• Proficient data analysis in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience collecting from multiple sources and building integrated datasets.
• Strong cross-team communication and leadership; bilingual English/Chinese helpful.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a market intelligence system for the fintech industry, continuously tracking key competitors' products, pricing, promotions, channels, traffic, user feedback, and market entry moves.
• Regularly produce market research, competitive analysis, trend assessments, and management decision briefs, converting scattered information into clear business judgments that support product, marketing, regional, and strategic decisions.
• Integrate public information, industry reports, regulatory disclosures, official websites and product pages, app data, user reviews, social sentiment, hiring data, and third-party data to build a structured market and competitive intelligence database.
• Identify opportunities, risks, and competitive shifts in key markets, covering dimensions such as market size, regulatory environment, user behavior, payment methods, acquisition channels, product mechanics, business models, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, sales, customer service, payments, compliance, and data teams to break down research requirements, define priorities, and drive research findings into concrete business actions.
• Manage and develop the market intelligence team, overseeing task allocation, delivery quality, reporting standards, and team research capability building.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above; background in business analytics, finance, economics, statistics, computer science, market research, or related fields preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, industry research, strategic research, business analysis, or management consulting; experience in fintech, internet finance, trading platforms, or cross-border business preferred.
• Strong business acumen and research judgment, with the ability to identify competitive shifts, market opportunities, business risks, and issues that matter most to management from fragmented information.
• Excellent logical writing and executive reporting skills, able to communicate complex issues clearly, concisely, and actionably, with clear conclusions and business implications.
• Solid data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or other data analysis and visualization tools preferred.
• Familiar with multi-source data collection and integration methods, including public web information, third-party data platforms, industry databases, app data, social sentiment, user reviews, and hiring data; experience with automated monitoring or data pipeline development preferred.
• Strong cross-team communication, project management, and team leadership skills, able to break down tasks, manage priorities, control delivery quality, and coach team members to improve research and reporting capabilities.
