Job summary

V‑BUNKERS TANKERS PTE. LTD. seeks a qualified Technical Superintendent to oversee technical and safety matters for its fleet of vessels.

You will implement Company policies, supervise repairs, and coordinate with the Fleet Manager on maintenance schedules and budgets. The role requires COC Class 1/2 with oil tanker sea experience, at least 1 year in a Technical Superintendent position, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

COC Class 1 or 2 with sailing experience on oil tankers required.
Minimum 1 year as Technical Superintendent in ship management operations.

Responsibilities

Superintend all technical and safety matters for Company vessels.
Implement technical and safety policies on vessels.
Oversee repair, maintenance and servicing of vessels as instructed by Fleet Manager.
Negotiate with Class Surveyors for on-board surveys; report to Fleet Manager.
Advise Master and Chief Engineer on planned maintenance; ensure work carried out by ship staff.
Inspect machinery spaces for cleanliness and maintenance progress.
Conduct damage surveys and complete necessary reports and costing.
Proceed to ports as needed to supervise repairs and restore vessels and equipment.
Prepare proposals for new regulations with approval from Regulatory Authority.
