Job summary

Oceanstar Elite Engineering Groups Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Marine Systems Engineer to lead design, integration, validation and lifecycle support for marine systems on FPSO/FSO/offshore platforms.

You will drive engineering calculations, prepare UFD/PFD/P&IDs, and ensure compliance with class rules and international codes. Responsibilities include coordinating with hull, piping, topsides, and safety teams, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting fabrication, installation, testing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in marine or offshore engineering for FPSO/FSO/offshore platforms and oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of marine systems design principles.
• Familiarity with class rules, international marine codes, and offshore standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Leadership mindset and mentoring ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and calculations for marine systems.
• Lead the development of UFD/PFD/P&IDs for marine systems.
• Develop system architectures, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and evaluations to support design decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with Class Society rules (ABS, DNV, BV, LR) and international codes.
• Prepare and review schematics, layouts, reports, and datasheets.
• Support 3D model reviews, clash checks, and design coordination with hull, piping, mechanical, electrical, and safety teams.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with hull, piping, topsides, EICT, and mechanical teams, project management, and clients.
